Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Australian Masters Games and make a huge contribution to the success of the event.
Volunteering is a fantastic way to make new friendships, reunite with old friends, give back to sport, learn new skills and most importantly have some fun!
Whether you’re a sport fan or just want to be involved, we want to ensure it’s a great experience for everyone.
The University of Tasmania has come on board to help create a special and unique volunteer program that will not only help train and recruit volunteers, but will also accredit them. Each volunteer will be equipped with a special online and face-to-face training program that will lead to an official accreditation. This is the first time such a program has been implemented for the Australian Masters Games.
The goal of the program is to help empower volunteers to go on to other opportunities and come away with not only the experience, but with a formal acknowledgement of the work put in.
